So the weekend brought multiple different patterns and locations to light for us. We started out Friday evening just wanting to go check on some of our previous spots so I had a game plan for our guided walleye trip Saturday and Sunday .We launched out of Little Sturgeon and headed south along the shore stopping and checking temps as we went graphing along. Found mid 50's for water temp with some pockets of slightly warmer areas.
We stopped and took a few casts in a couple of areas one being a rocky shoreline point that had a limited number of fish marking on it but enough to warrant a few casts and my wife hooked into a nice 27" fish in the first few casts so we stayed there a bit. We lost 2 other fish that we had on shortly after that but it was not steady enough for us to want to hang around so we jumped on the throttle and went down south even more looking to troll. We ended up just down from sugar creek and not marking much but we made one short troll to see what's up and found one nice 23" eye that wanted to play.
We knew we were going out early in the morning so we headed in looking to go south at day break.
We launched out of bay shore park and headed out to look at some spots I had been casting earlier in the week we found a couple way up shallow again in 3-4 feet on plastics, we were kind of pre fishing for my afternoon charter so we bugged out of there and went checking on some more cast spots north not much going on we got a few but nothing crazy.
We picked up and ran south of the launch again and started looking shallow for a troll pass and side imaging lit up in 7-5 feet of water so we shut down and before we had 2 lines in one was going back with a perfect eater size walleye. Flicker minnow #7 and Shad #7 seemed to be on both back 12-18 feet behind the board. We got into a good pile of fish in a short time so i now had my plan for my afternoon group. Color did seem to matter a little as long as it was shiny it worked. We had a gentile West breeze and sunny it moved those fish right up to shore and they were hungry!
